Non-War Construction Bureau files include permits; questionnaires; correspondence; reports; and membership cards. Construction permits for War Industries Board authorized projects show the owner's name; site address; and estimated cost. Questionnaires completed by permit applicants describe the site, construction methods and materials; whether war work was involved; and public building necessity. Correspondence concerns applications; local board volunteers; home building committee establishment; and construction rulings. Card file contain local board members' names and addresses; and occasionally permit type issued. Monthly deferred project reports include project location; applicant's name; and project description, purpose, and estimated cost.
